Community Service Day 2024 – Chile

In April 2024, the Linzor Chile team prepared over 150 Chilean native trees in GrowinBags and 40 potted plants, all for donation to a non-profit school in Santiago, Chile. The team also planted over 100 saplings of the same tree species, providing sustainability to the initiative.

The trees, of the Peumo and Quillay varieties, and the potted plants were delivered in June 2024 to Colegio CREE Cerro Navia, a non-profit charter school serving some of Santiago’s most vulnerable students from Pre-K to 9th grade. The Linzor team went to the school on the day of the delivery to teach the students about the process behind the replanting of trees, as well as about climate change, greenhouse gases and measures to combat the rise in global temperatures, including initiatives underway at our portfolio companies, such as the use of renewable energy. Tim Purcell, Linzor Managing Partner, commented “It is something that we, as a firm, believe in, deep down. Every single member of our team is committed to doing whatever they can to help their communities and we celebrate that, and really love it every time that we get together to work on something like this.”

We plan to continue engaging with the school community to help them grow and care for the green additions that will brighten the school’s premises.
